Grade 1

Minimum Age of 7 years old as at 1st June 2024

Programme Options

RAD Syllabus Classes – Two classes per week (compulsory)

  • Monday 3.30pm – 4.30pm
  • Saturday 1.00pm – 2.00pm

  • Junior Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) – Grade 1 & 2
    • Saturday 2.00pm – 2.30pm

Term Fees

Grades 1 & 2 have the same uniform requirements.

Student Requirements

  • RAD Examinations – The Academy provides students with the opportunity to participate in the Royal Academy of Dance examinations. To be considered for these prestigious exams, students must register to attend two syllabus classes per week all year. Students are strongly encouraged to attend the Junior PBT to improve their technique.
  • Competition Students – Competitions held locally and internationally provide performance opportunities for students. Students are expected to attend their syllabus classes, as well as weekly private lessons to practice their competition dances. Students will be invited to perform in competitions by the director.

Grade 2

Minimum Age of 8 years old as at 1st June 2024

  • Pre-pointe– Following a successful examination result in Grade 5, students will begin Intermediate Foundation in the next calendar year. It is required students will wear pointe shoes at this level. Pre-pointe classes will support and strengthen the muscles required for pointe work whilst in Grade 4 and 5. Students are strongly encouraged to attend these classes to support this transition.

Grade 5
