RAD Ballet Junior (Grades 1-5)

Programme Options

RAD Syllabus Classes – Two classes per week (compulsory)

• Thursday 3.45pm – 4.45pm
• Saturday 2.30pm – 3.30pm

Additional Options

• Junior Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) – Grade 1 & 2
  • Saturday 2.00pm – 2.30pm
• Junior Stretch Class – Grade 2 to 5
  • Sunday 10.45am – 11.30am

Term Fees

RAD Syllabus Classes

• 2 x 60 minute classes per week = $300.00 per term

Additional Options

• Junior Stretch Class – Grade 2 to 5

Uniform

Grades 1 & 2 have the same uniform requirements.
All uniform items can be purchased/ordered from our uniform shop. Many common uniform items will be held in stock and we will be able to order in all other uniform items.

Student Requirements

• RAD Examinations – The Academy provides students with the opportunity to participate in the Royal Academy of Dance examinations. To be considered for these prestigious exams, students must register to attend two syllabus classes per week all year. Students are strongly encouraged to attend the Junior PBT and Junior Stretch to improve their technique.
• Competition Students – Competitions held locally and internationally provide performance opportunities for students. Students are expected to attend their syllabus classes, as well as weekly private lessons to practice their competition dances. Students will be invited to perform in competitions by the director.

• Pre-pointe– Following a successful examination result in Grade 5, students will begin Intermediate Foundation in the next calendar year. It is required students will wear pointe shoes at this level. Pre-pointe classes will support and strengthen the muscles required for pointe work whilst in Grade 4 and 5. Students are strongly encouraged to attend these classes to support this transition.
